Disaster
Recovery Services Quotation Request:
Because iNamics
tailors each client's disaster recovery and backup system according to their
needs and restrictions, such as data size and transfer speeds, certain specified
variables need to be determined and are weighed in order for us to fully gain an
understanding of your business needs. So we're
prepared during your consultation, please complete the following questionnaire
and submit it to iNamics by clicking on the submit bottom at the very bottom of
this form. You can also print and fax this completed form to (216) 923-1322.
If you have any questions, please contact
us.

Do you have another network from another carrier connected at the facility if this
network were to fail?

in case of a disaster. For example,
do you want a complete "mirror" of your described system, including all
the applications used to run your business, or do you just want the System's data
files backed up?
(See page 6 for a definition of disaster recovery site
types.)

5. If you want any or all of your applications backed up, please list them:
(one per line)

6. In case of a disaster, how fast would you need your data restored?
|
7. What is your total disk capacity currently in use?
|
8. Please describe the servers
and their core functions, and include application vendors.

Disaster Recovery Service Types:
We distinguish iNamics services for
disaster recovery and backup systems by the acronym DRS, which stands for "Disaster
Recover Service". We categorize three different types of iNamics built
DRS systems as described below:
Hot DRS: are fully equipped mirrors of existing
client data infrastructures. These DRS systems have all the essential IT infrastructures
needed to go live nearly instantaneously should a disaster occur. These systems
are typically synchronized continuously with the client's data center for little
to no loss of data during an event, so a business is, in theory, virtually never
interrupted. (Note: What dictates how identical the backup system is to the client's
data infrastructure is data volume, application activity and transfer rates over
the Internet. See Transfer Rate Estimates chart below.)
Warm DRS: have the cooling and electrical capacity, as well as pre-built
communications equipment for immediate connectivity. There is usually some backup
equipment ready for immediate use, such as servers and storage equipment. In some
cases, a warm DRS system will also houses a storage appliance for periodic replication
of data from the original data center. However, most warm DRS systems simply depend
on tape back-ups stored offsite. Most warm DRS systems from iNamics are guaranteed
to be up and running between 24 to 48 hours.
Cold DRS: are everything hot DRS systems are not. These minimal
facilities may accommodate the necessary floor space and cooling and electrical
equipment necessary to build out a new data center should a catastrophe occur, and
that is about it. The only actual IT equipment kept in a cold DRS system is to accommodate
data storage, with measures taken for quick duplication or recovery.

Transfer
Rate Estimates
(Internet
reduces by at least 20%):
- 1.536 Mbps /8 = 192KBps
- 192 KBps * 60 seconds/minute = 11.52 MB/minute
- 11.52 MBps * 60 minutes/hour = 691.2 MB/hour
- 691.2 MB/hour * 24 hours/day = 16.589 GB/day
- 16.589 GB/day * 30 days/month = 497.67 GB/month
